I was trying MP 1.8.100 as new clean installation. This new clean installation was OK.

Today I was trying to upgrade from MP 1.8.0 (dB is MySQL 5.1) -> during the upgrade I selected also upgrade of MySQL from 5.1 to 5.6. Upgrade has not finish successfully -> MySQL 5.1 was deleted, new on MySQL 5.6 does not work.

    Hello.

I have the same Problem after a clean installation of 1.8.0.
A second try to install the 1.9.0 Pre-release (update procedure) didn't show any MySQL entrys in the deploy tool's todo-list, but Setp completes.
Starting TV-Server setup fails because of the MySQL database connection.

Update 08.09.: Making a full installation of 1.9.0 solved this problem. (no deinstallation done before)

This issue is related to the case the TV server has not been stop before MP upgrade:)
