just for a bit of possible explanation, in Australia (and I think NZ) the networks are actively trying to stop any type of digital recording, so as a result, STB's can't easily get EPG.

MP is one of the only options for this type of thing, since we don't have (yet) Tivo, Sling or any other service like that.
