Hi everyone, I recently downloaded MediaPortal and wow it's pretty impressive. I've tried my share of MC and this one works very well. I've spent all week-end reading and reading and I'm not finding anything really. I just want to make sure...is there a way to play Blu-Ray's and HD-DVD without using third party apps like PDVD or TMT, using only codecs? That is the only reason why I am still on the search for a MediaCenter that is capable of playing HD material without minimizing. Or in TMT case, it only plays 2 ch audio withing VMC.

Let me know...

You don't have to minimize or exit MediaPortal, all you need to do is to set up autoplay in Windows, and not have MediaPortal "always on top" That way when you insert or mount a DVD it will autolaunch Arcsoft TMT/PowerDVD/whatever and you're good to go. It is just as seemless as playing a "normal" movie inside MP.

I see what you mean, and it makes perferct sense. All you would have to do is remap your MCE Remote to switch between screen to go back into MP...Correct?

You may want to check out this plug-in. It integrates with the Arcsoft "MCE plug-in" which is basically just a minimalistic player. You're still calling something external but this might help with a more seamless integration.
