Summary:
Increase ease of use MP with touchscreen LCD
Area:
New feature
Description:
When MP starts it shows the initial screen.
Using UP-DOWN keyboard keys and ESC you can move easily through menu.
Using a remote (I don't have it) it's easy too.
BUT
If you have a touchscreen LCD, there is a big problem on menu scrolling:
touchscreen is similar to mouse movement/click,
Consider that Touchscreen have only the Positioning+CLICK function of the mouse (made at the same time when finger is pressed), NO positioning without clicking.
Try yourself clicking with your mouse on the top side of MP main menu, and leave the mouse here! The menu easily starts scrolling loosing any control on it.
This happends because the mouse cursor position remains here also if my finger is not pressing the touch, MP continue rolling infinitely if mouse is still detected here.
With touchscreen there is no way to stop rolling ... except by pressing in another LCD area.
May be a good, and easy solution that the MENU SCROLLING starts only if mouse is pressed (and finger too on touchscreen), not only positioned on the top menu area.
Thi would be really nice !
If impossible (MP menu philosophy ?) an option on configuration could solve the problem.
ANOTHER touchscreen feature would be an active screen corner (bottom left for example) that acts directly as the ESC button of the keyboard, this avoid the need to open the top MP bar and press the left arrow (back function).
NICE to use MP with touchscreen
Bye.
