Today I find out that MP won't start.

In the attachment is the log created by WatchDog.

I've tried launching MP also on other system but with the same error.
I've also tried to delete and reset the configuration of MP stored in ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Mediaportal.xml
Also tried to delete cache and all files from root dir of ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal but with no luck at all.

Thx for help!

There is something wrong with your MediaPortal.xml configuration file wrong. That causes MP to crash during launch.

MP.xml contains data stored from configuration using Config.exe
But when I delete and recreate this file using config, it's still the same, mp won't start.

I don't want to mess with all setting up from scratch...
I want to somehow repair this installation/setup.

I know it doesn't help now but just my experience/recommendation after 1 month as an MP user.

when you have a config of your system (MP, other apps, codecs, etc) that you are happy with - take a backup image of your system + mp partition. keep stuff you want to survive a rebuild like recorded tv files and your other media/content on another partition . When you add something new and you are happy with that being stable again (and losing the new thing would be a pain) TAKE ANOTHER IMAGE.

there are many times when MP has got into the "will not start" state for me and I have no clue why. I haven't even done anything (nothing changed - just watched some TV). I cannot see anything in logs. so I restore from backup and in about 30 mins I am operational again. I had one today in fact. faster than trying to debug such a complex piece of s/w.
