While I was at it I upgraded MP from 1.0RC6 to latest 1.1.3 I have tried a number of skin files (Maya and Amped) and very often get a problem when starting MP. The process halts on starting plugins. I have looked at the error.log file and this seems relevant. mmmm D3Derror - does that mean cant find graphics card??????????? Occasionally MP will start and then seems to work fine. Last evening I watched an AVI and had good video and sound. I was then watching multiple TV channels and all was well. So it can work. It very often simply wont start and I get the above error. Cant find any help in the forum re this.... but forum is huge so could have missed a fix. The only thing I have done since using it yesterday is try to set up DVB EPG. Process for this is still as clear as mud but maybe the problem is connected???? Here are attached logs gathered with system in debug mode for log collection. I really should have learnt by now, not to upgrade that which works. K [/QUOTE]
