I'm also back to 0055f, because tv experience is much better. With VLC I get smooth playback, while with Mediaportal I sometimes really get strange behavior, especially when starting a stream and with heavy zapping. Perhaps a dshowhelper AND tsreader related prob ? ;(

    1. zapping behaviour: no older channels will be displayed again for split a second and there's no delay when zapping forward or back.
    2. smoother streaming. With 0092dwm it sometimes seems after some time, that Mediaportal is running out of buffer, so the streaming begins to stutter

All in all it's not really very bad, but somehow the subjective impression is smoother with 0055, altough even not at the optimum.
I don't think that Fortherecord is the problem, it's already at RC status and runs really very smooth(e.g. with VLC).

Do any logs help you? Perhaps I can make a longer video, additionaly some logging if you want to.

    OK, thanks :)

For 1, how much delay on zapping do you see with v0092 (compared to v0055f) ?

For 2, is it any better with the v0092a_no_DWM version ?

    Tony

(I don't use ForTheRecord, so I don't know if it uses it's own player code/TsReader or the standard MP version)

I met the same issue with the stuttering after some time on the v0092a_no_DWM. The restart of MP helps to have the smooth playback again.

Is this with live TV ?

Do you have subtitles enabled ?

Yes, only live tv... Recorded programms are always running fine.

It could be that your PC's clock (aduio clock actually) is running faster than the broadcasters clock. Try pausing the live tv for few seconds and then play for few hours.
