Owsroost: in result of my posting in the Audio renderer thread of Tourettes I am posting here with a few problems with a series of files.
The original post is this one.

I then tested the same file with your V20 file, here are the results:

    Hi Henkie,

Can you attach logs please ?

Which codecs are you using ? - could you try a different h.264 codec ?

What happens when you play this file with the standard RC6 dshowhelper.dll - can you attach screen capture and evr.log for this situation ?

From the render stats the dshowhelper.dll is saying it's 48Hz video running on a 24Hz display, so it has to drop half of the frames somewhere....(and it's disabling some of the vsync correction features).

EDIT I have a few ideas for mods to the dshowhelper code which should help it handle this situation better :)

Owlsroost: I'm sorry a friend of mine also had trouble with this release and told me it was bad encoded. I deleted it and redownloaded another release which plays excellent.
I know this is not good for the bug hunt, I'm sorry. Next time I will keep my buggy video files!

I do know that this problem existed with all renderers: RC6, yours and Tourettes.

I thought it was time to bring things up-to-date in this thread, so I've added v0037 dll to the first post.

This is the same dshowhelper.dll version as the one in "Accurate_sync_ver_5.zip" from this post - it will work as normal if the MP Audio Renderer is not installed or selected, you'll just see a few messages in evr.log about the audio renderer status.

Any substantial change since v20, for people not using audio renderer? (v20 is working sooo good for me... :p )

Thanks in advance for your work!

No substantial change - a few fixes for specific problems people have found (and maybe a bit less CPU usage), so you probably won't notice any difference in performance compared to v0020.

I'll do it, too. I like to be up to date whenever it's possible. :)

One of the reasons I added v0037 was to get more people to test it..... :)

BTW, on the render stats, the measured refesh rate for 59.94/60 Hz and 23.976/24 Hz displays is not exact - this is normal because it's very hard for it to reliably detect a 0.1% difference e.g. between 59.94 and 60.00 Hz.

    Hi Owlsroost,

What's the general plan for the new dshowhelper? Is it something the team aim for 1.2.0? I've been using v0020 for some time and it's been brilliant, solved all the little glitches I had with HD. Will try v0037 as I like to be up to date :)
