AW: MP1 EVR Presenter/dshowhelper community development

I testet yesterday the v56 version. Not long but the first impression, that is more usable as the orginal 1.2.0 dshowhelper.dll
No jumping at all. I will test the v57 in the next days. So i hope i can fix my problems definitely.

thanks Owlsroost

I can't say I'm sure v56 is guilty... but yesterday night I got some MP crashes (windows "stop working" message) while watching live-tv (when zapping) that I didn't have before...

@Owlsroost, I was using 1.2.0 dll (v45 if I'm right) till yesterday night... Do you thing v56 could cause this crashes?

I'll do some more in deep testing and post, with new v57 also....

I can't think of anything I've changed in v0056 that could be causing the crashes (unless there is some side effect from the DWM buffering changes). If they keep happening can you attach logs please ?

I'll do it for sure! I've been watching TV in launch time, but I didn't zap too much... Tonight we'll see.

compiled accuratesyn renderer .dll version with your patch but after some time (5-10 minutes) audio and video are out of sync. Using MP audio renderer. Plain v56 version from your post was working fine.

    Edit:
    evr.log shows:
    19-01-2011 20:47:41.780 [974]SetupAudioRenderer: cycleDiff: 0.0000272902
    19-01-2011 20:47:41.780 [974]SetupAudioRenderer: adjust bias to : 0.9999727105

    but i've 50hz and 25fps material ?!?!?

Could this be a result of this?:

    19-01-2011 19:26:36.027 [4b4]Display (from windows): 1920 x 1080 @ 50.000000 Hz | Measured refresh rate: 49.998636 Hz

    V56:
    19-01-2011 21:12:58.576 [1378]Display (from windows): 1920 x 1080 @ 50.000000 Hz | Measured refresh rate: 50.002808 Hz

    19-01-2011 21:12:59.110 [93c] Allowed bias values between 0.8999999762 and 1.1000000238
    19-01-2011 21:12:59.110 [93c] Adjusting bias to: 1.0000561746

Both was live tv. Isn't this problematic for life tv?

Owlsroost, I used v56 and v57 for 2 days now together with the audio renderer.
Previously I had issues after some time, the video started drifting.

But with this versions all is great, thank you SO MUCH!
For me no difference between the 2 versions.

    Hi Owlsroost,
    I played around with v56 and v57.
To me, v57 introduces an audio delay of about 300-800ms. It is very noticable during conversations.
v56 works perfect. !!! Im sticking to that one for now.

I tried using MPaudiorenderer and without to test. No difference in delay.

    OS:W7x64
    ATI: HD5670
Soundcard. Xonar DX (sorry for that)

    Need anything else?

    Hi Owlsroost,

I tried V57 and it works perfekt on both clients (GT240 & Radeon 5570 without MP audio renderer). No more stuttering, you are my hero.

Didn't check source code yet - but I would assume that on your PC the both DLL versions will provide refresh rate information that is between 49.995 and 50.005. Te verify this start playback ten times with both DLL and provide the results.

Yes it will be problematic, but most likely the refresh rate is not exact 50 Hz anyway in any PC so there is always a margin of error in the broadcaster and playback rates (this is why TsReader does have small buffer before the live point).

I'm more worried about the newly introduced bias difference for 1:1 matches on audio renderer side. It will cause constantly resampled audio - making the audio quality a bit worse. EVR presenter should have some clamping to keep the almost 1.0 bias rates as 1.0. Anyone have idea what would be an optimal value for this? At least it must be less than the 23.976 vs. 24 difference :)
