MP1 startup speed (1 Viewer)

Hi,

MediaPortal is almost perfect for my use. Only thing which annoys me (a lot) is its slow startup.
My computer is often doing various different tasks, usually it is not totally idle when I start MP.

Has it been already investigated what MP is doing when it is starting and are all those things
necessary? I could help to analyze/profiling MP, if there is still room for a improvement.

For example usually I start MP to ONLY watch TV. There is no need to load all of the plugins right away.

Or is it really necessary to load all of the plugins on startup, or could those be loaded when they are
really needed? (atleast it is saying on startup "loading plugins" or something like that.

Ideas?

MP1 wont allow lazy loading of plugins. Such hasn't been the priority as MediaPortal's target audience is HTPCs where the frontend is always running. So plugin loading cannot be optimized.

But if you find some other place that could be benefit from optimization please let us know
