I'm not sure what helpers texts you mean?

I am referring to the explanatory texts that are dispalyed at the bottom of a screen, e.g.in the Settings area for the different options.

My memory is a bit fuzzy from when I started this thread four years ago but I mainly navigate from a generic RC6 remote. I rarely use a keyboard, and the keyboard on the HTPC is compact with no home/end keys so I didn't know about those till now.

The feature would still be helpful mapped to remote buttons. Jumping back a menu then going back in kinda replicated going to the edge of a list but watching the pinwheel go for minutes on each menu layer is quite literally making my hair turn white.

That's a different topic. It can only occur if you navigate in Folder view as this needs to be rebuilt each time, but never in Library view. If the latter applies, please open a separate thread for discussion.
