This is not a MediaPortal issue, as it happens in WMP as well. The only codec I have installed is SAF 5 *unlocked*, so I guess mp3 audio is decoded by FFDShow. My soundcard is a SoundBlaster Live! 24Bit External (USB). I've set it up to use 48kHz and 24Bit and it's connected to my Pioneer Receiver by a coaxial digital output. I've had this working for a couple of years, so I'm dumbfounded to why a re-install could cause this. I've used the last available drivers for 32Bit for the card, installed all the "helpful" software from Creative that is used to configure the settings for the card (output etc.). If I do a "driver rollback" I only see it as "USB Audio device" in Windows XP's installed hardware list, and it doesn't playback my audio. The issues are as follows: 1. Playing back music will result in unwanted speed up of the file, and after a while (30 seconds real time) it seems to adjust itself (about 2 minutes into the track) 2. If I try to play back a video file with mp3 audio, the video is sped up along with the audio 3. If I use ReClock with the video, I get smooth video, but lots of stuttering in the audio and even more audio drop outs Sometimes I can "reset" the output to whatever is chosen by DirectAudio to playback the sound by running the Creative Device Control and changing the output from 24 Bit to 16 bit, pressing "apply" then changing back to 24Bit and pressing "apply" again. It's like DirectSound tries to force a bit rate change on the card or something. Please tell me I only need to install a codec. I could actually live with having all mp3 sound played back as AC3 instead, as there's no issues with that at all. DTS works fine as well. Please help, I'm going nuts. :S Edit: Nevermind, I didn't install drivers for everything the motherboard wanted, I went to the DELL site and got that sorted and voilá, everything works! Emph
