Hey guys

First off, media portal is an absolutely amazing app.... i have turned into somethig of a MP pimp and take every opportunity possible to promot it. Just one or 2 things i think could only improve the MP experience:

1. MP3 streaming from a FTP. I sometimes like to play MP3's directly from an ftp. If it would stream the ftp rather than copy the whole thing then play it, this would help. We have a city wide wireless network we have built over time and this would allow us to stream from a central database rather than have multiple copies of the same data.
2. AVI streaming. Same as above :)
3. Vizualizations: If its possible to have the vizualizations built in, it would make it much easier to setup and manipulate. At present i have not managed to get a vizualization to work with My Music, even using the bass engine and 0.2.1.0. I am sure there is a way, but its obviously not that apparant!

Thats all i can think of at the moment :D

the visualization support was removed in 0.2.1 - at the time it was fairly buggy and the dev's didn't want to delay the release. if you install a recent svn, you'll get viz support available again!

How stable are the SVNs? The wifey is on holiday and she KILL me if she is unable to use the HTPC whilst i am at work. If its pretty stable, i will definately install the latest SVN.

depends what you use it for - i wouldn't install a svn on a machine you're using for live tv, but on my htpc which only gets used for music/videos i'm running an svn from a couple of days ago without any major issues.
