    Hi,

I experience extreme jitter when i try to play mp4 files from my hd-camcorder (1080p).
I also tried different client machines.
When I play the files in Mediaplayer everything plays smooth!

I use MS- Codecs but this also happens with PDVD.

    hints?

    cheers

From the evr.log it looks like it just can't decode the frames quickly enough - there are lots of 'Scheduling sample from the past' messages about very late frames - this is 60fps 1920x1080p H.264 video so it's hard for the system & video card to handle.

thats strange, because windows Mediaplayer can handle without a problem.
I always thought, that MP actually uses the Windows Mediaplayer?

No, it uses DirectShow (like most players do) - I think Windows Mediaplayer 12 uses the Media Foundation framework.

I have a few Sanyo HD camcorder sample files (60Hz, 1920 x 1080p) and they play OK on my system with MP, but I have a more powerful video card (a GT430).

The logs are made from my server machine, where the card (ATI HD4550) shoud be absolutely sufficient, at least I did not have problems before with 1080i/p blueray material...
Hmm, I will try one more thing: set the TV refresh rate to 60hz maybe this will change something, even though i think I already tried that before...

thanks however, maybe I will the play the vids, with mediaplayer, if theres no other way.

    cheers
