OK, but is it possible to make this "special symbols" changeable?
See, not everybody can make these SW changes and rebuild .

There are 2 options:
1) Exclude that algoritm to remove extra labels.
When smb is making a mkv file, he is expecting that he will see the same names of tracks he provided.
Othervise it will be a confusion.

2) Add a simple textbox to Configutation screen for keeping these "bad symbols".
This will be more difficult but will keep the algoritm of removal.

I do not insist, it is just a proposal

Ok, so the language is fine, just the extra info is getting skewed. This was to remove the useless labels like (Audio 1)...

are the lines in the patch that is causing that. Feel free to remove and rebuild =]

so I saw the mpc-hc subs patch was included, can we get this in so we have proper titles for subtitle / audio tracks when using mpc splitters?

Hi,

I have change some code for trackname subtitle and audio, to make it visible like : Language [Trackname] with MPC Splitter MKV and MPEG based on this patch. Maybe it can be look at too.

This patch is included in the last FFDshow patch and works for FFDshow Engine and MPC-HC Engine.

It works. I've been running this for quite some time now without any odd results. Sebastii has incuded it in his ffdshow patch with the output formatting slightly changed as well. It's not exactly complex

I quickly discussed the patch with Arion_p and we both think that text should be left as-is ( no defined rule to strip out a part and not another ).

Please provide an updated patch so we can commit.

Hi,

I'm not sure to understand well, if we don't strip out part, we can't take the audio/subtitle language/trackname part.
Effectively if we use only haali but there is many splitter right now and there no rule for the naming on PIN OUT.

But it's clear that that part should be ameliored.

I have many patch to supply based on excelent work that albain made with FFDshow patch and works with MPC Engine too but need to separate it.
(And my patch are ugly even if it's work lol).
