I'm not sure this is a MediaPortal issue exactly, but then again it may be (see question 2).
Anyway, I'm trying to use MPC-HC as an external player. I'd like it to start fullscreen and close when it's finished, so the following should work:
/fullscreen /play /close
Using MPC-HC as the external player with no parameters works, though not fullscreen obviously. Using any parameters causes the player to open and not do anything. The same as though you'd just opened the player in Windows.

I'd rather use parameters though than set up a script if I can.
So 3 questions.
1) Can anybody using MPC-HC as their external player and using parameters clarify exactly what they're doing to set that up?
2) Likewise for The KMPlayer. I'm not using that at the moment, but I have been using it in the past and was able to use /fullscreen. I was likely using the 1.0.2 release of MP at the time since it was a while ago. Interestingly, I've tried using it again and I now get the same behaviour as in MPC-HC, with the player loading and not playing.
3) Under what circumstances are the DVD player external options used compared to the video player external settings? I'm guessing that any time physical media is playing *or* an image is mounted and played that the DVD parameters are used.
