Hi Ive installed a single seat installation on win7 64 box, and a client on a win764 box. The single seat is using sql express 2008. When the client tries to connect, it fails, the logs say check the connection string, which is right. The "server" is pingable has a static ip, Ive run the firewall batch file to double check and on the client any is allowed through on 1433 and 1434 if Ive got those right, anyway the sql ports.. Is there anything else I should try, or how should I debug this, was thinking of putting management studio on and seeing if I can talk to the server db that way Any advice on ways to proceed. Incidentally when I was using MySQL it worked first time.. TIA
