MPEG-2 codec issue (1 Viewer)

Over the last few weeks I have a weird error when trying to play MPEG-2 files e.g. Mediaportal TV recordings. Sometimes they play most of the time they don't. Am using the PowerDVD video codec to do this. Playing those recordings in any other app than Mediaportal works fine (VLC, WMC). I checked recordings with Graphstudio and that says the TS is using the correct codec (Powerdvcd). Check with "codeccheckers" to see if any codecs were missconfigured but all is good.
O1 thing i noticed is that if playing doesn't work, I'm not even able to change the codec from within MediaPortal (not MP configuration but MP / Settings / TV Set-up). All other codecs in that screen show a dropdown list, MPEG-2 does nothing. Have enclosed some logs.

Playing the recorded tv show in MP debug mode is fine.

Thanks

    Hi MikBix

    Your logs are a little confusing. The first logs don't seem to show anything at all. In the subsequent logs MP is always trying to use the FFDShow audio codec - indeed that is the codec that is set in your MP configuration. In the last set of logs I see:

    2011-11-07 19:53:05.810546 [ERROR][MPMain(1)]: TSReaderPlayer:GetInterfaces() failed

    That points to an error with the audio renderer rather than a codec setting.

    Have you installed any new codecs or media software that would install codecs recently?
