I've played with every codec on my system, they are all the same.  The only one that works is ffd show but I've set that up for other codecs with a different interlace type.  I don't wanna use ffd because any changes i make to get MPEG2 playing effects all my other codecs and files whch work fine so I don't wanna mess them up.  Like I said every external player installed on my pc plays them 4:3 which is why i'm inclined to think its a MP software issue rather than a hardware issue.  MP plays all 4:3 files fine, as long as they arent half dvd file (352 x 576)</p></blockquote><p></p>
