Help with Interpretation of logs With further investigations, it appears that: 1. When I set up the external channel tab, the source is not 'correct'. With the use of RCA video in, I now have video when I switched to the channels that have been set up as external. 2. I am starting to think that if MPExTuneCmd is working as design, then it could be a situation where the control of the serial port is not handled properly in my setup. Question - Does MP take control of the serial port? I am starting to look in this direction as I just cannot find any other clues to this problem I am facing. Any help with the following errors in the MP log will also be appreciated. The following appears to be the only errors capture in the MP log that may shed further light to the problem but I need help to interpret it. In error file, I find the following: ------------Start of Log------------- 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVGuide.SetProperties() at MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVGuide.SetFocus() at MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVGuide.OnMessage(GUIMessage message) at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindowManager.SendMessage(GUIMessage message) ------------End of Log------------- and in the MediaPortal, I find the following(only selection of log entries close to the execution of the irtuner.exe file from MP): ------------Start of Log------------- .... 11-Sep-05 8:20:24 PM mpeg2:demux video out connected 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM mpeg2:demux audio out connected 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM vmr9: pin:0 is connected 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM mpeg2:StartViewing() start mediactl 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM vmr9: pin:0 is connected 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM SinkGraph:StartViewing() started 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM Card:1 rebuild graph done 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM window:MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVGuide deinit 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM texturemanager:CleanupThumbs() 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM Total Memory allocated:3.19 MB 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM window:MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUIFullScreenTV init 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM start fullscreen channel:Channel U 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM init->OSD:Off 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM planescene: enabled:True 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVGuide.SetProperties() at MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVGuide.SetFocus() at MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVGuide.OnMessage(GUIMessage message) at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindowManager.SendMessage(GUIMessage message) 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM MPExTuneCmd processing external tuner cmd: C:\Program Files\kl\IRTuner\irtuner.exe 9 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM PlaneScene: dispose surfaces 11-Sep-05 8:20:26 PM PlaneScene: dispose surfaces 11-Sep-05 8:20:27 PM PlaneScene: video WxH : 768x576 11-Sep-05 8:20:27 PM PlaneScene: video AR : 768:576 11-Sep-05 8:20:27 PM PlaneScene: screen WxH : 720x576 11-Sep-05 8:20:27 PM PlaneScene: AR type : PanScan43 11-Sep-05 8:20:27 PM PlaneScene: PixelRatio : 1 11-Sep-05 8:20:27 PM PlaneScene: src : (168,0)-(600,576) 11-Sep-05 8:20:27 PM PlaneScene: dst : (0,0)-(720,576) .... ------------End of Log-------------
