MPGames Plugin (2 Viewers)

Thought I should post an update. Works been going slowly due to real world commitments.

However I have all but completely finished the main part of the config. Im working on some scraping resources so if anyone knows a good site for box art and screenshots and possibly some bg art (I think i'll onl get that for each console/platform rather than each game) please pass it on.

Currently each game has a rating (1-10)
Cover-art
Screenshots
Title etc.

Description and genre are next on list.

Each platform has an associated image as well so you can choose graphically and a description.

What else do we want?

I could be nice if it found all info by it self like moving picture.
In config only type path to .exe + parameter and add the name, then the rest should be fetch auto.

Cool, looking good already.
It would be good if the skin was like moving pictures (not sure how hard that is), although I am not sure what art is around for emulated games?
Will this also support PC games, as that is what I play most. It would be Very nice to have this games menu with all the platforms and then when you go into a patform it is like moving pictures etc.

As providers said, gamespot has lots of info

Yeah the plan is to automaticall scrape sites for platform and game descriptions and images etc. I have no idea how hard its going to be.

Mob games looks like a good start, and i might use gamespot as well. Im hoping I can thief the scraping scripts and stuff from moving pics

Nice to see that somebody finaly is working on this plugin, strange it hasn't been done before. Great work metalla_nz!!

Regarding the automatic scrape feature, of course this would be awesome. But really, is this necessary? I mean, on a HTPC computer you dont have SO many games installed. Maybe just a few 1-10games? And that isn't so hard to do by yourself in my opinion. But of course its always nice when things working by itself...

Looking forward to test your plugin! Is it much left before testing??

I'm really looking forward to a plugin replacing MyProgramsAlt.
The scraping feature would be great because I have tousands of games on many different platforms on my HTPC.

Just noticed I didnt answer a question above. Yes it does support PC games as well.

Really looking forward to finally having something for the PC games and roms /emulated games all under one roof and nice No Pressure mind lol

Oh and I think I have 27 pc games installed at present, with god knows how many 1000 roms. So this will be VERY good

I may upload the config module soon for testing to see if anyone can break it before i sign it off and start working on the gui side of things
