Audio Card Model: Creative X-Fi Audio Processor (WDM)
Audio Card Driver: 5.12.14.1144
Synopsis::
When you run the installer (setup.exe), it goes through some basic screens, then when it is about to actually do the install, it jumps straight to the last screen (without actually installing anything) and you see:
"The installer was interrupted before Application could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again. Click "Close" to exit."
This is a problem with the MSI installer from RC2 and RC3. This is true if the MSI (or setup.exe) is run from a SUBSTituted drive. It is a problem with Microsoft's MSI. Some MSI packagers get around this by having the setup.exe copy the file to C:\Windows\Temp before extracting/executing the MSI.
If you're running the MSI file from a drive letter created with SUBST, try copying/moving/running it from a real physical drive letter.
Thanks!
Patrick
