Multichannel FLAC (1 Viewer)

Hello, I am trying to run a multichannel FLAC file with BASS player. Now im not sure if i get 5.1 output because my receiver doesnt say if its DTS or Dolby. Is it outputting dolby? if not how can i setup MP to do output multichannel?

Multichannel FLAC is decoded multichannel audio it is not like DD/DTS which is a bitstream which is decoded on your amp. The only way to get multi-channel FLAC to work is to output audio as either LPCM via HDMI or use analogue outputs.

That said I think the standard player will only output stereo anyway. To get multichannel I think you need to install the madFlac codec and set the music player to be directshow
