    Is that possible?
I have a server at home (always on) and an HTPC, so it makes sense to have MP2 server on the server and MP2 client on the HTPC

The problem is the laptop: I'd like to use the server's media library + his local library when at home and having MP2 working also when traveling (of course only using the local library...)

    thanks in advance

    Hi.
Two servers in one network is possible. I use such a constellation at home sometimes. I only have antenna for 2 tuners in my living room, but I have 4 tuners. So if I need more than two tuners I ran a server in the bedroom where the client normally is attached to the "main" server in living room. But for setting up schedules and recordings I attach the client to the "bedroom server". Later I can move the recordings to the "main" server and all is as I want.

You can detach and attach a client to only one of the servers for sure, but this can be altered in settings as often as you like. The status monitor always show the status of the "local" server, but this is something I can live with...

A "full" data synchronization is not possible. All media items got a unique GUID while importing into the database. Aside this the path are different. So you need to maintain your "local" library two times then. Especially the watched flags are not synchronized. For this you can use trakt.tv but this only is working for movies and series.

I think a "server syncing plugin" could be a cool addon to MP2... Maybe you can start a feature request in the matching forum
