I find Blue 3 litte garish by comparison to Blue 2, but it is improving rapidly.
In the first 4:3 version the shading resulted in poor contrast for text in some parts of the screen.
This is now much better with the white text in the current version of blue 3 wide.
One improvement over blue 2 is changing the color of the selected icon in the exit/shutdown bar from blue to green. This makes it much easier to see what is selected than in blue 2.
My main use for MP is music, so I see a couple of things which could be improved in that area:
    1. The music views don't identify themselves. Attached is a screenshot of the top level "Album Artist" screen, but it could just as easily be "Artists" or "Songs". A title indicating which view it is would help.
    2. After selecting a song to play from an album, and letting MP play on, I got the screen shown in MusicView1.jpg.
The title at the top still shows the originally selected track (also hghlighted in green below), not the one currently playing (which is shown in a very hard-to read black font). It would work better here to just forget where playback started and just move the green selection down (and of course update the title line) with the progress of playback.
    3. My biggest wish for music playback views may not be solvable at the skin level, since I haven't yet seen it done.
I would like to have separate display of the available tags (each in its own field), instead of having to string them together into a long string which invariably does not fit into the screen field provided. The part which would almost certainly require some changes at the application level would be to allow the user to select which fields to display. Different users have different standards of "completeness" for tagging their files, and there is no point making those willing to settle for fewer tags sacrifice valuable screen area for tags they will leave empty anyway.

I have always wondered why the green selection never follows the music in Album mode, but it does follow the music in Playlists???

I agree with you. It is better when the green selection folows the music.
If I move the selection, it is sufficient if it aligns again, when next song starts.
