    I've enabled gapless playback and disabled fade-in and fade-out in MP. I'm listening to FLAC files, but it seems that there is still a brief fade period when listening to music (something like half a sec fade-out+fade-in). This is naturally a minor thing.

    yup, you're right.
    That's the way it is currently. i need some few hundred milliseconds in overlapping, otherwise i'll have issues with playback.
    Unfortunately fixing this would mean a rewrite of the music engine.

    if this is really disturbing for you, you might try the PureAudio plugin, which shouldn't have those troubles.
