Music folder only updates in 'Shares' view mode? (1 Viewer)

I just noticed that my music database only updates on its own in 'Shares' view mode. In every other view mode, I have to open the MP configuration, go to Music Database and click 'Update database from selected shares'. Kind of annoying after awhile.
Is this normal, and if not, is there a fix?
