Hello
I have been using MediaPortal for a while and am really happy about my setup.
Recently I changed my graphics adapter to an ATI 4650 with HDMI interface. Unfortunately, this has introduced an annoying feature which I hope somebody can help me get rid of.
My MediaPortal computer is connected to my Denon amp with COAX for sound and with HDMI for video. The amp is then connected with HDMI to the Samsung LCD display. When I listen to music on MediaPortal, I like to turn off the display - no reason for it to stay on and consume all that power
However, when I turn of the LCD, MediaPortal stops the music after a few seconds. If I turn on the TV again, MediaPortal is still in the same music folder, but it has stopped playing (like hitting the STOP button on a cd-player).
I tried using a DVI-->HDMI converter, but this gives the same result.
If I use a VGA cable, it works fine - but then I need an extra cable to the TV which I would rather avoid.
Today, I tried exiting MediaPortal, starting Windows Media Player and some random music - and then turning off the TV. Surprisingly, the music kept playing. So, what I thougt was some handshaking problem between my Samsung TV, Denon receiver and ATI graphics adapter, turns out to be an issue related to MediaPortal.
This fact makes me happy, because then there is a chance that I can configure my way out of the issue.
Question is HOW?
If anybody could help me out with that, he or she would unlock an instant achievement
Thanx in advance for any help at all.
