[solved] mvCentral 1.0.8 Beta V Import problem ... (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately Beta V is not working as desired.

I tried importing 2 new videos (with custom Album-Name "Live",a s before). The Importer seems to recognise them, schowing the correct title in the "possible matches" dropdown-menu and displaying the green circle. Unfortunately after that the progress seems to stop. After a while there still is no white checkmark and the videos are not imported into the database. When I close Configuration and open it again, the Videos still aren't in the database, but also not visible in the importer anymore.
I tried manually removing the 2 videos from the database (removed the entries in the "local_media"-table). In the next import they were shown as correctly imported (with the white checkmark on green circle - symbol), but were not visible in Database view.

Additionally my \thumbs\mvCentral\Albums\FullSize - Folder fills up with thousands of thumbs named like "{Musikvideos} [139849346].jpg". The number in brackets varies with both positive and negative values. They are all the same Image (weirdly a "Beatles" Cover-Art).

Perhaps because of this ...
Error parsing "%artist%" from local_art_pattern advanced setting. Not a database field name. Try turn off Custom Artwork Folders support ... Stop MvC and Delete all {Musikvideos} [?????????].jpg and Start MvC and whait ...

The 2 tracks were two songs from the Band "Cults", which I now realize seem not to be in the logs I posted earlier. So I did a new Import with 2 different Videos:

• Lissie - Don't You Give Up On Me (Live on 89.3 The Current).mp4
• Lissie - Hero (Live on 89.3 The Current).mp4

The log of the new import is attached. This time the videos were imported seemingly succesful on the first run, but also are not shown in database. The importer only created the new Artist "Lissie" (since I didn't have any other videos of that artist before), but without any albums or tracks:



In the GUI Artist "Lissie" and a "Live"- Album are visible, but inside the Live album are additionally to the 2 new videos many unrelated other videos from several different artists.

The thumbs are now under control. Disabling local Album search stopped the uncontrolled addition of new thumbs, but it still added 'wrong' pictures (although from the correct artist) for my custom Album-names. So I set the download limit for albums to 0 and turned it off completely.

This error may be because He tries to find them on last.fm, but then you can manually add the appropriate cover of the file or link ... But then I hardly something I can fix.

According to the log file, I do not see a problem. The files are added. Must be GUI. Probably it is necessary wait for the full update. Or clean the database and try again

Exactly. I meant "wrong" in the sense of "not to my liking" . There is nothing to fix there...

It appears that the database is indeed one giant factor in the unwanted behaviour. I just tested it with a fresh db and a handful of Test-Videos were imported without any problems.
It seems I have to reimport the whole thing at some point in the near future .

I remember I put it there a while back. I hoped it would recognise the structure of the music section. Once again I'm the source of the problem

No, the original logic is wrong, and implementation. I'm not sure that I have enough time to fix it.
