Has anybody had any luck getting MF to open .mkv video files? I ripped and conveted a bluray movie to mkv, but when i try to launch it in MF i get the dreaded ''Please enter disc" and "No video found".

Interestingly, MyVideos plays the file without any problem, but i thought that MF was built around the core of MyVideos?

mkv file works fine; the times when I have seen that error when the file path is wrong; even a wrong extension.

Thanks fop the replies, at least i know now that it should work.

The file path and video name is definately correct, however I have now added a third folder in the MF config in which to look for films, could this be why (is there a limit on the number of folders you can ask MF to look for video files)?

just a quick heads up for anyone who had the same problem as me.. i managed to sort the issue out, it was because the mkv files had to be inside their own folder, i.e:

T:\Films\Inglorious Basterds\Inglorious Basterds.mkv
