Ongoing My First HTPC (1 Viewer)

Ho Every1! I just finished my very first HTPC. I had it running for about 7 hrs straight its pretty stable. I currently have it hooked up on my Toshiba 72MX196 by HDMI at 1776x1000@60hz since 1920x1080 @60hz is over the margin. Im also using the SPDIF, but I could only get 5.1. Any Idea how can I get 6.1 or 7.1? Another problem is that I cant play DVD on media portal, but DVD works fine on MCE. My TV has a VGA input, but I havent tried to hook up my PC thru the VGA input. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

use your vga input with 1920x1080@59hz (59 instead of 60 could fix your over the margin problem)

Any Idea how come I cant play DVD? I mean it plays but only audio no video. But works fine one MCE. Also any suggestions on audio card?
