I just bought my first UPS to protect my entertainment center.

Here is southern AZ we don't suffer many outages, but when we do it's mostly wind-related...and could come-and-go all day. My research pointed me to the same company that also makes our UPSs in my server room at work....and the price was right. I just hope it has enough volt/amps for my needs (I had to kind of guess).
With all the expensive "toys" we have, a little extra protection is worth the cost I'd say.
