My Music folder format (1 Viewer)

Hi,

What is the best way of organising my music folders for use in MP?

I usually have mine as c:\music\artist\album title\track.mp3
but as I have lost all my mp3's and need to rip them again I wondered if it would work ok if I put several albums in the artist folder rather than having seperate folders for each album.

For best overall compatibility I'd still advise an extra dir for each album - this way MP would be able to even create missing folder.jpg files from web covers.
However it doesn't matter at all as long as your tracks are tagged completely.

I organize it in this way:

folder for each letter+ folder.jpg for the letter/artist+ folder.jpg for the artist/album + folder.jpg for the album/track.mp3

Unfortunately MP doesn't support this structur automatically with Small Icon/Small Icon/Cover/List so I must set it manually (or I havn't found it yet to organize it in this way automatically, could be possible )
