    Hi,

Pls. try again when the MP is in the front and the taskmanager is in the back.
    :D

Good you mention that. For me, the CPU load for most screens is pretty normal, only very regular high spikes (same as ronilse) when _playing_ music in My Music. When nothing is played, everything is ok. And, indeed, when the task manager is active and MP doesn't have focus, the load is normal (i.e. no regular high spikes in CPU load), but as soon as MP regains focus, the high CPU load is back again.

EDIT: This is with a CVS build from about two weeks ago. I'll try a new CVS build this evening.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

Just did a cvs checkout and a rebuild: no difference. I also uninstalled MP, reinstalled 0.2.0.0 RC1 and applied latest CVS from myshare.de, but I got the same result as with my own build: high CPU load (allmost 100%) only when playing music and MP has focus. If MP doesn't have focus or if playback is stopped, everything is OK.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

Tested the cvs-12-05-2005--23-09, and the problem is still the same. :(
Seems like the visualization window it's shifting to fast.

Have tested this today with the new RC2 and it's still the same results.

Also tested with a fresh install of MCE 2005 & WinXP, but it's the same.
Could this be related to Intel Celereon D CPU?

    Regards
