My Programs or Programs plugin alternative (1 Viewer)

Is there any alternative to Programs plugin that was shipped with MePo ?
I'm on 1.4 and can't seem to find elegant way to start NAS if I want to watch some backuped shows.

With Programs plugin I started NAS (wol) and kept him on (loop) for few hours after which it would shutdown so it wasn't always on.

Wake On Lan Plugin (WOL Plugin)

This will send WOL message to NAS when entering predefined plugins (eg. Moving Pictures).

If NAS falls asleep while sharing a file that is problem with NAS not MP. You need to fix the settings on your NAS, as it shouldn't do that.

I liked Programs plugin better since I got better control.
Usually I ran the script that would keep nas on for 3 hours after which it shutdown since I don't want it to be always on.
