Synopsis::

When I go to the ''my tv" area the tv works fine. But when I want to change the channel it takes about 20seconds! and most of the time I get the error "no signal". When I go back to ''my tv'' and shut it down and then put it on again, I get the channel immediately!

Does this problem occur with timeshifting ON or OFF?

Have you noticed this problem with earlier CVS's?

Could you please check the CVS bugs that are being reported here, and add yours (or update one that is the same)?

    Hi,

First post and bugreport here. Before I start on bugreport (if it's not user error) I'd like to say thanks to the devs and everyone else involved for a killer app.

I have the same problem. Nearly every time when changing channel the screen goes black and a message saying no signal appears. Sometimes I get picture and sound for about 2 sec, then it dissapears with the no signal message.

It occurs very freqently with timeshifting OFF. With timeshifting ON it works for abot 75% of the time.

When I change the the channel with timeshifting ON the picture often stutters after about 3-5 sec. and the recovers.

However quite frequently (3-6 times per hour) the picture dissapears. I cna fig the by going back to the My TV menu, turning TV OFF and then ON again.

If there is any more info that i can provide please do not hessitate to ask.

It doesn't occur with timeshifting OFF (the "no signal" problem) The slow-channel-changing-problem stays! Only it takes about 15-10 sec instead of 20-30.

Recived my FloppyDTV yesterday and was stunned by the picture quality.
However, I noticed the same problem as the others here.
One thing first... I was watching a tv series on NRK1 and when the show
was over mytv got black with the message "no signal"
I found out this happend everytime any show/film ended and was going
from 16-9 to 4-3 ratio. The same thing happens with any channel sending
films/shows in 16-9 and in commercials change to 4-3.
I will test this further more trough the weekend before I send a bugreport.

It seems to be a problem when using Dscaler codec.
Changing to Nvidia codec seemed to have solved the problem.
I will test it more this weekend.

I'm using the NVidia Codecs and the problem still exists for me.

Seems to be made worse by using the TV Guide.

    What deinterlacing are you using?

I had to remove the microsoft hotfixes described on
    Digital Everywhere driver downloads.
Works better now, but cannot use Dscaler yet.
Nvidia is better even with Tv guide now.
I am currently in discussion with Halifax on the
    FireDTV forums on this one....

I read somewhere, that the long wait for change in channel may be due to bad signal reception.... Anyone else have this experience???
