Originally I tried running just MP without TVE3 and could not get TV to work at all. Decided to try TVE3 and hopefully that would fix the problem, discovered that I could not load it with UAC enabled but did manage to find some help online and got it loaded. Unfortunately I could not get SQL running properly and will leave that another day. I have done some research and I think the hauppage drivers must be wrong. Recently I discovered VistaMCE was running in the background and took control of capture card, have that issue sorted now (kill VistaMCE) but still getting no TV. In the MP configuration I can install the card, autotune for channels and watch them in the little window - All good. When I load MP and switch to TV it will not turn on, select a channel and nothing happens, completely confused?? Everything else works great, movies, music, weather, pictures - and never crashes! Also I installed the latest SVN last night hoping that would fix it :( AMD Athlon64 X2 4400+ 2.3GHz Gigabyte GAMA69GM-S2H MATX VGA AM2 HDMI (Raideon x1250) 2Gb RAM Western digital 400Gb SATA Hauppage PVR 150 Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse Vista Home Premium This is about the 8th Mediaportal HTPC I have built, this one the first with Vista and by far the hardest (also trying to do exactly the same thing on my own Vista Ultimate PC and get the same issues, phillips capture card though). The best system I have done is: WMCE2005, AMD 1000, 512Mb RAM, 250Gb HD, 120Gb HD (for TV), Nova-S Plus (Freeview), Nvidia 5200 (originally a Nvidia MX440), MCE remote + keyboard. If this crappy old PC can do it surely the one I am working on at the moment should work.
