Well, I guess my problem is connected to timeshifting. strange, since I tried to deactivate timeshifting and all other recording abilities.

However: DBV-T isn't possible over here since the test's for DBV-T just started over here: we have 4 channels and my home and the surrounding area isn't covered yet, so only cable. But I can't get MediaPortal to work. The card (Hauppauge HVR-900, USB2 hybrid tuner) works, I'm able to watch TV with MediaPlayer Classic in perfect quality.

Well the big question is just how much free disk space is there?
Even if you don't plan on using timeshifting, I think that MedaPortal still wants to make sure there is space, just in case you press pause or soemthing.

Also, in the TV options, there is a setting to determine the lever for low disk space. Maybe that needs to be lowered.

actually there is 1.5gb space left so I don't quite get the 1gb-warning. and I really checked *all* options and deactivated all recording and/or timeshift capabilities. I even unchecked the tv-card itself to have recording possibilities. so I don't quite get the point what MediaPortal want's me to say...

I forgot: the lever is set to 50mb (default) until MediaPortal begins to clean up "older" recordings... there aren't any until now...

And another question I didn't find an answer for until now: is there a channel search for an analogue signal? As I mentioned there are only 4 crappy stations sending on DBV-T and I don't even receive them so I use the cable available over here. But I have to search for the stations manually in another prog and enter everything by hand into MediaPortal. Is there a much more comfortable, maybe even automated way I didn't find until now...?
