I would like an option to delete selected recording instead of
cleanup watched recordings.
Even if i have watched a recording that doesnt mean i want to delete
it...
I cant imagine that anyone actually has a need for delete ALL watched recordings. i assume that can be replaced by a delete selected recording.

:)

    Hi,

    - hit "0" on the selected recording and you will be asked to delete it
    - hit "enter" and you will become a dialoge, where you can select to delete it
    - read the manual! :)

Confusing, there should be menu items so people dont have to
scan the docs for every little small feature :).

And the default key layout is very remote friendly.

    Delete TVRecording 0
    Delete Movie Y
    Delete Item files/actors/genre/year/title F1.
    My music Y
    Playlist Y

If only one key would be delete, then it would be easyer to remember.

There is no way that girder can recognize which module you are in.
3 remote buttons will act as delete in diffrent modules, wonder
if anyone remembers which to use when :).

Or better make some changes that will allow girder to regognize the active module then you can use whatever key in whatever module.

The Y key is used for adding/removing items from a playlist (in music and video).
0 is a delete key as in it removes the file.
F1 toggles between the normal view of your movies/music and the playlist window.

So I don't know where you got the idea that the keys are mapped as you mentioned, but that source seems to be wrong.

    Shouldn't be necessary.
As if i dont have enough to configure betwen each versions ;)

All i'm saying is that the key assignments should be cleaned up,
it doesnt only apply to the delete key.

    Like the Y key:
    Increase Time Y
    Remove Selected Y
    Add To Playlist Y
    Show OSD Y
    Close OSD Y
    Remove Selected Y
    Add item Y

Y seems like a poular key, mixed both in adding and removing.
I will never remember which to use when lol

    Y should be 2 keys:
    Increase Time Y
    Add To Playlist Y
    Show OSD Y
    Add item Y
    (add /show key)

    Remove Selected Y
    Close OSD Y
    Remove Selected Y
    (remove/hide key)

Anyway i know number of keys on remotes are limited
so i might be wrong, i havent configured my remote yet :).

    Hi Dst,

you are right Dst. The key mapping could be improved. But this is only importand for the users, not for the developers. ;) Afaik it is on the todo, but with low priority.

This is opensource! Make a new good keys.xml and provide it as patch. I think you will make many people happy. :)

Looking forward to your changed file.

Do remember to make it compatible with all kinds of usage and not only your remote..
