My Videos Database (1 Viewer)

I am running MP 1.0.2.0.
I have my media files on my office PC and the HTPC is the client in the lounge.
I have setup a central database. It is working OK with MP TvSeries.
With My videos, I am having a couple of issues. When I scan the shares, if the share can be located online, ie IMDB, it will be added to the data base and all is fine. I can see and play the file on the client.
The problem is when I manually add files to the database I get:
1. The file name has a local path instead of UNC //server/directory/ etc
2. When I rescan the database, files I have added manually still keep coming up in the list of new files yet to be added.

I had a good play around in the database using SQlite. with mixed results, I did get the file name to show up properly and the file would play in both server and client, however is this the only way to do it?

No matter what I did I could not correct item #2.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Have you tried using MovingPictures instead of the built in My Videos?

I like My Videos, and would like to resolve this issue.
I have tried Moving Pictures: did not like it.
Any help would be appreciated.
