my weather new fix frizes my music (1 Viewer)

hi there, i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this thread.
my problem is that when i added the new fix for my weather, that worked fine with it, thanks for the fix,and by the way the fix i used was to rename windowplugins.dll to windowplugins.bak and copy the new one in the folder.
then when i go to my music and play any song from any album i cant go back or forward , all i can do is to listen to that folder and if i press any key from my imonpad remote control on the vfd i see some of the things i'm doing like list , song name and all the stuff that is at the left of the songs titles but the picture of mediaportal is frozen .
cant go play dvd or my pictures or my weather again and cant turn off mediaportal , i have to reboot the system.
but if i undo my weather fix it goes back to normal.
also i have to say that with the fix everything works fine the only thing that does not work is my music.
my weather is very important i live in the caribbean in the dominicaan republic and that hurricaane stuff drive us crazy here so i have to be checking the weather everytime.
i'm using mp 2.3 rc3
dont know if this is important but my board is gigabyte ga-ma78gpm-ds2h , amd 5000+ black edition, 2 gigz memory, maxorb cpu fan, mozart case, 42 inches lcd hdtv as monitor.
i hope someeone caan help me.

Which fix did you install? The problem is most likely that the windowplugins.dll that you're using wasn't compiled against the 0.2.3 source so it's not necessarily going to act properly. Just out of curiosity, why are you staying at 0.2.3 RC3?

well, thanks for responding. you ask me why i stay with 0.2.3 rc3 the answer is i don't know if there is something better than this. i thought this was the latest mediaportal.
the fix i use i really dont know all i know it came in a zip file and it says that before use it i have to rename the windowplugins.dll and call it windowplugins.bak and then copy the file taht came on the zip file into the folder i renamed the other one.
but at the end when i open the zip file it says , modified 14/05/2008 10:44pm and next to it crc32 393a8cfb i hope that helps you identify the file i used.
so tell me if there is something better than this 0.2.3 rc3 where can i download it? what's the name of it? can you give the link to it?
and if there is a better weather fix ? or i hope if you give me the link for the latest mp maybe it is already fixed.

thanks, i'm downloading it from the link you gave me .
i'll unistall the .2.3 rc3 and install this new one.
i'll let you know what happens.

ok i downloade and installed everything and seems to be working fine but , yes but , now when i open mediaportal a sign comes out that says Your version of 6.5.2600.2749 of quartz.dll has too many bugs .
everything is working how can i get rid of this?
i checked another tread about it and downloaded some dvb stuff but is still there.
is there a way to turn this sign off?
thanks for your help with it i fixed my main problem now need to get rid of this sign.
also my weather animations are working now.
just added cybrdisplay again and works fine, can see everything again on my imon vfd.

Sounds like you might need dvbfix to sort out your quartz.dll error (if you havent already got it)

ok guys, thanks for all your help , so far everything is working fine.
installe service pack 3 on xp and ran the dbv tuner patch again as instructed and no problem.
