Your problem (at least the first one) is that the remote codes are not being loaded by  the plug-in.


Blaster.exe usually writes the myblaster.dat files in the same directory it was run. Without that file that's not much you can do. After learning, locate the file and copy it over to C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\.


Try it again and see what happens. Post the Mediaportal again if it doesn't work. Depending on what version of MyBlaster you might have some extra options to try to tweak it.
