I was going to try out MyPictures today but i did not start, and MP crashed.
Tested with and without Ken Burn
Anyone have problems with this?

Please find out what you did to that database or its storage path. If you do not remember try to delete it.

I deleted PictureDatabase.db3 and now its working.

Is there a way to have some backgroundmusic while showing pictures?

Yes - just start the music earlier (e.g. press "play" on a folder/album) or put a playlist file into your picture's folder.
