MySQL Password??? Problems getting any TV signal Hauppauge Nova 150 T (1 Viewer)

Brand Newbie!! I have a Hauppauge nova 150 T and it works fine with Power Cinema, but the remote has limited functionality.
I have installed MediaPortal, but I can't find any TV stations.I can't get the TV section to work.
When I click on TV Server Configuration, I get the option to use either the Microsoft SQL Servers which has a user ID of "sa" and no password, or MySQL which has "root" as the user ID and no password.
Where can I find the password?
Is there any other way to search for TV channels? If I run MediaPortal and click on My TV , I get to the TV Set-Up page and am asked for the IP Address or host name of the master tv service. Current Setting: Peter-PC (the name of my PC). What should this setting be? I've tried the IP address of the computer, but unable to connect to either tvserver or database

I guess you just did a default installation, which will give you MS SQL with password: MediaPortal

Once you get that connection right, you will be able to scan for channels etc.
