All,

following the suggestions received I changed the Settings for 'DVB EPG':

unticked: Alway try to update existing entries

and

ticked: Grab EPG only for channels on same transponder

which caused the locking-phenomenon caused by mysqld.exe to disappear.

Problem solved!
