MyTVSeries - Plugin that organizes TV Video Files (1 Viewer)

Should I implement an automatic file organizer to move and rename files?

Idio,

I said the same thing, everyone's getting this error with 0.20+, check my post from a day or so ago ..

Guess we'll just have to be patient and wait for a rebuild, 0.17 works
a charm though doesn't it :)

I have built a new version 0.21. Its based off the the 0.17 version. I have integrated it with the Windows Plugin. I will integrate it with the cvs code soon..

I have posted the source codes and binaries of version 0.21a of this plugin here.

Have have implemented a context menu. Currently it allows you to play an entire season or series sequentially. In the near future, this menu will allow you to download coverart, and refresh information from TV.com.

I have corrected some small issues with the Back button.

I need someone to help me send data to the OSD. I can't figure it out. Until I can, i will be working on the clipart download and also the information screen for series and episodes.

I will also implement this code in the CVS, if the other programmers are still willing ;)

I just ran the older version, works a total charm :) awesome stuff.

One thing, I have a bunch of stuff in OGM format that this doesn't scan
for, any chance you could get it to scan for .avi / .ogm ?

To be honest , I can simply rename the files .avi and they still play so it's not like it's a major issue but would be nice.

    Great stuff

Good idea, about the extension thingy.

I have added this file extention to the video importer. Can anyone tell me all the valid video extensions that MediaPortal can play?

    Weetodd,

I'm itching to try this, however when i follow the instructions:

1/ put the dll in plugins/windows
2/ copy the TVSeries.mxl to my skin dir
and then load configuration and select plugins i get a crash

    I am running
    XP / SP2
    MP RC2 + CVS 27/02/2006 (for a cpl fixes)

Here's the decode of the crash.. :(

Any ideas what i am doing wrong ?

You are doing nothing wrong really, that code release was a peice of crap. I should have never released it. Try download 0.21. It works alot better.

Hi love the plugin and found a small bug. I have adsl dailup internet and when seaching for tv.com and NO internet connecntion present the plugin crashes.

Bug nr2 I have a threshold episode that is not listed on tv.com. Could u add the option of a blank episode

    GREAT WORK :D :D :D :D

Thanks, I will update the code in the next release to make sure that it checks for an active internet connection prior to attempting a download. I will also include error checking (just in case an internet connection drops in mid download)

    thanks for the heads up

this should be taken from the list in "movies"-"movie extensions". that way if someone had some bizarre file format they'd configured their computer to play they could still use it :p
