MyVideos - Movie Blurbs (1 Viewer)

Hi all, I'm new to Media Portal and am missing something that I think is quite simple but despite having played around for a good amount of time and searched the forums I can't find a solution.

In My Videos on the screen where the movie selection is made there should be a summary of the highlighted movie. I can't get this to show up. When I play the movie and press info on the remote the summary shows up fine. In the configuration I've been able to download the plot and summary into the database.

I also had to do a workaround where I stored the cover jpegs (folder.jpg) in the movie folders themselves because they weren't showing up before.

Can anyone out there help me?

Have you switched your view from 'Shares' to 'Titles'? Shares doesn't actually utilize the database whereas the other views do. Also, if you switch to a skin like Monochrome or Aeon, you can get the IMDB info in Shares view as well.

Thanks Jburnette that's exactly what I was looking for . I'll root for the Wildcats in your honor next time I see them play.

I am using monochrome with a recent SVN build and have tried Indigo as well (I have Aeon but haven't tried it yet). I had a problem with the IMDB shares in monochrome in that the information didn't show up on the selection screen. What was weird was that if I then scanned the imdb (using the info button on the remote) then the information would then show up on the movie selection screen however, if I then change the movie selection, the information doesn't change (the description for the scanned movie remains). Any idea what this is?

Anywaysy main problem has really been solved (Easily and quickly). So thanks a bunch again.
