The fast forward function is nice, but if you want to go to a certain time, it would be much better to be able to click on the time line.

Also navigation using the mouse wheel (scroll forward - backward) is extremely convenient.

This is the way Windows Media Center handles it - a really intuitive feature...

Yes, clicking on the timeline is a feature I use quite frequently too.
Also a preview when hovering over the timeline is a nice to have feature.
