Need help with a simple plugin (1 Viewer)

I would like to have a plugin that gets the length of a movie when it starts to play and then sends the value to a web page like http://myurl/page.php?length=1:34:30
With this i would be able to send the info to my asterisk and then play a message for all incoming calls that I'm watching a movie and doesn't want to be disturbed. And even tell them to call back in x number of minutes.

Or is there any other way for my asterisk server to get this value on a incoming call?

It would be relatively simple to code a plugin which does a webrequest every minute or so
But there might be a more generic plugin to do the job.... even if I do not know of any,
You might want to search for script and/or automation plugins.
