Hey guys, i'm looking for a bit of hardware advice on building my first HTPC. Recently my PC took a giant crap and fried the majority of my components. So i figured i would make the best of a bad situation and use the remaining parts that arent fried and make a HTPC. What i have left is :

-AMD Athlon 64 3700+ socket 939 San Diego 2.2GHZ (single core)
-EVGA Geforce 7800GT PCI-E 256MB GDDR3
-StarTech 480W PSU

So i guess my question is, what would you guys build with these parts. I won't be doing any gaming at all, mostly just dvd playback, playing movies, tv shows and maybe some mp3's. Any advice would be appreciated.

With this hardware you can build regular HTPC with Media Portal, but without HD playback. For DVD/SD movies, music, pictures it's enough.
You need RAM, mobo, case and WinXP. The rest is to be downloaded.
    Good luck
